Warranty and Care of Melek Jewelry

Do my Melek jewelry have a warranty?
The manufacturing guarantee is 3 months from the date of purchase for all products. At Melek we replace parts with manufacturing defects free of charge and do not offer repairs. In this case, we advise you to contact a trusted jeweler to repair your jewelry.
For jewelry with damage due to normal continuous use, the warranty does not apply.

Keep your purchase receipt, as it will be the guarantee of your jewelry.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Melek jewelry should be handled with care at all times.
All sterling silver will darken over time, but this happens much more quickly when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, salt air, sulfur, skin creams, hair spray, chlorine, or acidic skin pH. Gold-plated jewelry should also be protected from these agents, and it is normal for the color of the plating to fade with daily use without proper care.

Jewelry should be stored in places free from direct sunlight or excessive heat. Preferably, it should be stored in its protective box. Never use plastic bags to store your jewelry, as they cause sterling silver to darken faster.

We recommend that you do not wear your jewelry while showering, sleeping or exercising.
A safe way to clean most jewelry is to pour a small amount of mild liquid soap (pH neutral) into warm water and use a small, soft brush. If the jewelry is very dirty, soak it in the water for about 10 minutes. Rinse and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
