Warranty and Care of Melek Jewelry

Do my Melek jewelery have a guarantee?
The manufacturer's warranty is 1 year. from the date of purchase for all products. At Melek we replace parts with manufacturing defects free of charge and do not offer repairs. In this case, we advise you to contact a jeweler you trust to repair your jewellery.
For jewels with damages due to normal continuous use, the guarantee does not apply.

Keep your purchase ticket, as it will be the guarantee of your jewel.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Melek jewelry must be handled with care at all times.

All sterling silver darkens over time, but it happens much faster when in contact with agents such as perfume, salt air, sulfur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine, or acidic skin pH. Gold-plated jewelry must also be protected from these agents, it being normal for the color of the bath to fade with daily use without proper care.

Jewelry should be stored in places without direct sunlight or excessive heat. They should preferably be kept in their protective box. Never use plastic bags to store your jewelry, as they cause sterling silver to darken faster.

We recommend that you do not wear your jewelry while you shower, sleep or play sports.

A safe way to clean most jewelry is to pour a small amount of mild (pH neutral) liquid soap into lukewarm water and use a small, soft brush. If the jewelry is very dirty, let it soak in the water for about 10 minutes. Rinse and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
